Peterson Equipment Company ("PEC," "we," "us") is an authorized PistenBully dealer based in Hyde Park, Utah. This policy explains what information we collect when you use petersonequipment.com or contact us, what we do with it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to the information you give us by phone, email, and our online forms.

When you contact us, request a quote, submit a warranty claim, send a service or parts request, or use live chat, we collect what you enter. That typically includes:

• Your name, company, resort, or property
• Email address and phone number
• Equipment details such as model, serial number, engine hours, and a description of the issue or request
• Anything else you choose to write in a message or chat

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our web server and the services behind it record technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request, and the date and time. We use cookies and similar technologies that are needed to run the site and its chat feature (see "Cookies" below).

Business records

If you buy, service, or lease equipment or parts from us, we keep the records that go with that transaction, such as contact details, machine serial numbers, service history, and warranty history.

How we use it

• To answer your questions and respond to quote, parts, service, and warranty requests
• To process and follow up on warranty claims, including passing claim details to the manufacturer when needed
• To sell, deliver, and service equipment and parts, and to keep accurate customer and machine records
• To send you information about equipment, service, parts, and events, if you have asked to receive it or have an existing relationship with us. You can opt out at any time.
• To keep the website secure, prevent spam and abuse, and fix technical problems

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run our business:

• Service providers that host this website, deliver email, provide live chat (LiveChat), manage email marketing (Klaviyo), and provide fonts, maps, and embedded video (Google). They may use your information only to provide their service to us.
• PistenBully and equipment manufacturers, when a warranty claim, parts order, or service request requires their involvement.
• Professional advisors and authorities, such as our accountants, attorneys, insurers, and government agencies, where required by law or to protect our rights.
• A future owner of the business. If PEC is sold, merged, or reorganized, customer information may transfer to the new owner as part of that transaction, and we will require them to honor this policy or give you notice of any material change.

Cookies

This site uses cookies that are necessary for it to function, and our live chat provider sets its own cookies to keep a chat conversation going and to recognize returning visitors. Embedded content from Google (such as videos and maps) may also set cookies once you interact with it. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; parts of the site, including chat, may not work correctly if you do. We do not respond to "Do Not Track" signals because there is no common standard for them.

Email and text messages

Marketing emails include an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you by writing to info@petersonequipment.com. We will still send transactional messages about a quote, order, claim, or service job you have with us.

How long we keep it

We keep information for as long as we need it for the purposes above, including to support warranty coverage and machine service history, which can span many years, and to satisfy legal and accounting requirements. When we no longer need it, we delete it or make it anonymous.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we hold. No website or method of transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send payment card numbers, Social Security numbers, or similar sensitive information through our web forms or chat.

Your choices

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can opt out of marketing messages at any time. Contact us using the details below. We may need to verify who you are first, and we may keep information we are required or permitted by law to retain, such as transaction and warranty records.

Children

This website is intended for businesses and adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
